Make an appointment
At Active Physiotherapy, you can book an appointment by calling us on 02 6662 8484, alternatively we offer online bookings via our appointment system below.
Active Physiotherapy is registered with all the major health funds and offers HICAPS or on-the-spot health fund rebates. This allows us to deduct your health fund rebate from your consultation fee automatically, avoiding the need to post invoices to your health fund. All you pay is the “gap” between the consultation fee and the health fund rebate (depending on the health fund, this may be nil in some cases).
All HICAPS transactions and payments are processed at reception on completion of your session.
Enhanced Primary Care Patients
Enhanced Primary Care patients require a referral from their GP specifically addressed to our practice. Using Medicare E-Claims, Active Physiotherapy is able to deduct your Medicare rebate (approximately $52.95) directly from your consultation fee. The “gap” is then paid by the patient.
Department of Veterans’ Affairs Patients
DVA patients require a referral from their GP or specialist. Active Physiotherapy will invoice the Department of Veterans’ Affairs directly. No payment is required from patients at the time of treatment.
Workers Compensation Patients
Workers Compensation patients require a referral from their GP or specialist. Active Physiotherapy will invoice the insurer directly wherever a claim number is provided and liability has been accepted. In this instance, no payment is required at the time of treatment.
Motor Accident Authority Patients
Motor Accident Authority patients require a referral from their GP or specialist. Active Physiotherapy will invoice the insurer directly wherever a claim number is provided and liability has been accepted. In this instance, no payment is required at the time of treatment.
Clinical Pilates classes at Active Physiotherapy are run by our experienced Physiotherapist, Sally Umbers.
It is recommended that prior to commencing classes, you book an assessment with one of our physiotherapists. This allows us to understand any underlying problems that may influence your participation in the exercise programme and establish your goals.
One-on-one sessions are also available at our clinic and utilise specialised Pilates equipment. Please enquire at reception or ask one of our physiotherapists if you think you may be interested. If there are last minute changes to our class timetable, we will post these on our Facebook feed on our home page.
